Well, I am working on a . . . um . . project. And I am trying to decide between two of my old styles; colored pencil & acrylic. I can't tell you what the project is. But I can ask you to tell me which of the styles you like better, which I know is the wrong part. Because I know that the answer would change if it was on a wall, a coaster, a book page, a t-shirt, or a website. But -- I have to remain cagey. Will you guys help me out anyway?
Do you like the acrylics?

Or the colored pencil?

It's a hard choice but... Colored pencil. Definitely colored pencil.
Colored pencil -- I feel like the images are much more textured. And more detailed/photographic/precise. Which I like, personally. Though the colors of the acrylics are delightful, and the top two are quite detailed...
Colored Pencil!
Acrylics.
Coloured pencil! :)
Colored pencil!! love it!!
Wow. Both are lovely. I'm leaning towards the acrylics. Good luck!
Acrylics!
Colored pencil :)
colored pencil!
Colored pencil, they look a tad more realistic and I like that for these subjects. They're all really wonderful, though!
Colored Pencils.
Acrylics!
acrylics definitely

Difficult choice... Hum, the colored pencil, I think.
hands down ACRYLICS! didn't even have to ponder it!
colored pencil
Acrylics.
Though the two are amazing :)
I really like the depth of the acrylics. Of course, I totally could be responding to the Dukes of Hazzard-like frame.
(WTF?! How is it that you have a Blogspot blog, and I'm only finding this out now? My Google-fu is weak... ;_; )
I like the acrylics, but this is because the colors are distinct and the lines are sharp. Colored pencil has a slightly more... I'm going to say "misty" feel, but that may not be the right word.
acrylics. :)
Acrylics, but they are both beautiful.
:) It really does depend, but I'm voting acrylics.
Did you draw those? Those are sooo amazing! I wish I had that kind of talent!! :P
I'd have to say that the colored pencil brings... depth... to the picture (if that's even the right word) :D
Colored Pencil!!!
Acrylics - unless your goal is something very illustrative rather than artistic.
I vote Acrylics!!!!!
Hmm. The acrylics create nice contrast, but I'm more of a realism fan. I vote colored pencils.
Acrylics! They're both amazing, of course, but I like the acrylics.

These are AMAZING; I think I like the acrylics best! :)
Colored pencils
acrylics... and do we win a prize if we can correctly guess your top secret, cagey project?
Oh man, the acrylics totally speak to me.
colored pencils :)
Colored pencil!
Colored pencils! Those are amazing <3
I love the acrylics. they seem to express your personal style the best (but you can disagree with that). The colored pencils do look very realistic/almost photographic, but that is just that too real. The other shows how you see the world and your surroundings. I love the acrylics.
Colored pencils.
colored pencils, for sure!
Oh my goodness, Maggie! The colored penciled ones look REAL! I guess it depend what you're going for, but I think I'd say colored pencil. I like them both!
Definitely the Colored pencils! By far!
Both are beautiful. I think if you're working on something light and whimsical that doesn't need to look as realistic, the acrylic is the way to go. If you need your images to look more real, the colored pencil is the way to go :)
I prefer the simple, cleaner coloured pencil approach (:
colored pencil
Oh goodness, I didnt even realise till I got to the bottom that I read all the comments :/
I think it depends on the type of project your doing and what result your looking for.. the acrylic is very bright and in your face and more smudged..kinda..its like a snapshot of a fantasy thats not fully formed or a memory your struggling to hold on to. The coloured pencils are sharp and show more shades, and while still colourful they don't hold that same surrealism as an acyrilic artwork does. Coloured pencils express the physical whereas acyrilic express more the emotional. Personally I prefer realistic artworks, acrylic reminds me of cartoons.
Coloured pencil. There's a sense of light flowing out of those pictures, and a softness - like you, as the artist, really love what you're drawing - which I adore. Pencil, pencil, pencil, please!
Colored Pencil
Colored pencil, it looks beautiful and very soft!
Colored pencil, but both are beautiful.
Thanks, guys -- I really have decided now, thanks to you guys. Though I must admit that the comments were rather like the dialogue over Sleeping Beauty's dress: "blue!" "pink!" "blue!" "no, pink!" *grin*
Ok, even though you've already decided (why am I always late?!) I am a HUGE fan of your colored pencil work. It seems like it has more of your heart in it, I can feel that it came from 'you.' I do really like your acrylic work (it has a very urban, hip feel), but I LOVE your colored pencil work.
And I feel like I can make that touchy feely statement because I'm an artist too and that's one of the most important things to me with artwork. That the hand of the artist is clearly visible and bears their own personal stamp. And your colored pencil work does that.
And it's delicately rendered and sensitively done.I keep wishing that I had discovered you before I read your books so that I could have bought some of your work. Again with the lateness!!
Oh man, I'm late for you to consider but gotta voice my opinion and say I absolutely loved your colored pencil work. Loved it!
COLORED PENCIL
I really like both, but... colored pencil.
Colored pencil
Colored pencils for sure.
Look at you all talented in the visual arts!
Both are beautiful, but I would go colored pencil.
Colored pencil.
Makes me feel inside the picture. I hope this helps.
I'm probably a little bit late with my input... I think you're equally awesome at both, but personally, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colored pencil. Everything looks like the real deal, not an artistic version of the real deal. If that makes sense. Looks like a photograph, in other words.
Well, it looks like a pretty good split. The colored pencil examples you have look more realistic, but the acrylic is a little more modern looking. Personally, I like the acrylic better.
Acrylics.
colored pencils definitely!!!
I meant to write this with my "colored pencils definitely" post but something went wrong. I think that the colored pencils make the drawing seem more real-like. I like that there is more depth to the drawings (although I am biased because my mom is an artist and rarely, if ever, used acrylics). I hope this is useful and have fun deciding!!!
coloured pencil definitely
colored pencil
Both are pretty damned awesome, but I think going on art only, the acrylics, although the subject matter of the pencils are very appealing to me.
colored pencil! definitely!
I studied them slowly, then looked again quickly. hehehe! But I'm going with the colored pencils!
Oh god. They. Are. So. Beautiful. I think I'm going to have to go with color pencils.
Acrylics, although both are lovely.
I really like the color pencil. Ihought they are both beautiful!
Colored pencils and you are wonderfully talented. The picures(both acrylic and pencil) and beautiful
The colored pencil. The pictures are mysterious and fascinating. I couldn't stop looking at them.
The Colored Pencils really have great depth to them. They are both great but the colored pencils look more like "HD T.V." LOL
colour pencil, absolutely!
